Flower Day Detroit Eastern Market – Standing Room Only!
Early this morning, as I walked the Michigan Detroit Eastern Market, I observed thousands of transports filled with flowers; red wagons, purple carts, wooden carts, grocery carts and home-made flower hauler.
The morning air was chilly, but not freezing. The cacophony of excited flower and price negotiating chatter, hustling & bustling, was an effective distraction to the weather. However, by midday, it was sunny and comfortably warm.
There was old, and young, male, and female, tall, and short, adults and children, it was a blooming rolling spectacle of flowers moving on wheels!
There was wall to wall eastern market flowers, and flower shopping enthusiasts. Walking shoulder to shoulder, baby steps, pressing forward to the next best deal. Parking was competitive, but there always a parking space that seems to open just in time for everyone.
